December 17, 2005: Elves.

As you all know, I'm a fantasy lover, but what you don't know is my favorite mythical creature: Elves! Well... my favorite catigory is tied up between elves, werewolves, and Exotic Whatchamacallits (Pooky!) I'll give you a picture of a whatchamacallit later (he's cute!) Any ways, I'm not sure why I love elves, though it's probly beacause their so versitle, they can be warrior, pranksters, or Santa's slaves *cough**cough* I mean widdle helpers... My take on them, though, is sorta like J. R. R. Tolkien's, minus immortality. Elves are skilled in the mythical arts, as long as skilled fighters. In my mind, their like humans, except stronger in the field of magic (only a tiny bit though.) and have a life expectency (did I spell that right?) of 250 years, or 1,000 seasons (yea redwall!). Elves are split in three major catigories: High Elves (Who use magic for pure good) Nuetral Elves (What does it sound like?) and Chaos Elves (Also known as Dark Elves and/or drows. Oppisite (sp?) of High Elves). There are also three minor catigories: Wood, Flatland, and Nomadic. The way the minor system works is where/how the elf in question was raised and taught, like a wood elf would have been raised in woods, thus their abilties would best help in wooded areas, while Nomadic elves are constently on the move, thus they learn to adampt quickly.
