Wormholes: Curved Space or Twisted Warp Tunnels?
It is an accepted fact across the Multiverse that the term “Portal” refers to routes between Universes. What then, many ask, is a wormhole? Is it to be another name for Warp Tunnels, or is it something else entirely?
Both really. Einstein’s Theory of Relativity deals with the notion of curved space, stating that space is like a big rubber sheet with the stars, planets, and other cosmic objects resting it, their gravity creating little dents in the fabric. The more massive or dense the object, the more it warps space. Black Holes, the densest stellar objects in any Universe, create the deepest dents in space’s fabric, which sort of explains why nothing can escape them. A theory goes that the fabric of space itself is curved, sometimes to the extent that it folds back on itself.
Taking these facts, scientific theory in Nexus Prime says that in these folded-over areas, if two black hole dents were to meet up, they would form a tunnel from one point to another. That is a wormhole, a warp in the fabric of a Universe’s space that makes quick transport between two otherwise astronomically distant points possible. Warp Tunnels can be considered wormholes between Universes because it’s likely they are formed in similar ways to wormholes: two massive dents in the Boundaries of separate Universes meeting up.
So Wormholes and Warp Tunnels could be the same with the exception that the latter extends into the Void to touch other Universes while the former connects two points within a Universe.
