Princess Zelda
Likes: Proper respect
Dislikes: Link, on certain days.
Zelda's not your average Princess, evidenced by the fact that she prefers to live in one of Nintendo Acres' simple housing units rather than in Hyrule Castle. Having had to deal with Ganon, Vaati, and their monster thugs several times over the years, Zelda has a pretty thorough knowledge of what tricks and traps give Link the most trouble, a good thing to know when she's trying to keep Link from blasting her front door away.
Amy Rose
Likes: Sonic
Dislikes: Being ignored
Amy is still Sonic's girlfriend, but she's not as clingy and annoying as in the games the two of them appear in. The two of them have had only one date so far, which was ruined at the very end, accidently, by Sally Acorn. Of course, everyone else still needs to stay on Amy's good side or they'll risk getting a Piko-piko hammer to the face. She acts as the neighborhood's source on new events.
Princess Peach
Likes: Mario
Dislikes: Getting kidnapped
Peach speaks normally and can correctly interpret Mario's Italian babblings with 100% accuracy. Despite their rocky history, Peach actually gets along fairly well with Bowser, so long as he doesn't stick around for more than five minutes. No one's sure why Peach moved to Nintendo Acres, but rumor has it she's trying to get away from her nagging attendant Toadsworth.
The Villains
King Bowser Koopa
Likes: Being the coolest.
Dislikes: Getting told he's not cool.
When he's not kidnapping Peach, Bowser likes to cook. He's invented several delicious cake recipes, although some are rumored to be explosive. He puts up with his housemates, but like any good villain Bowser hates being upstaged by another bad guy.
Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik
Likes: Robots
Dislikes: His machines exploding while he's in them.
Most of Eggman's room are occupied by his old, broken vehicles from past Sonic games, and he spends a lot of time trying to fix them. He doesn't hold much contempt for Sonic anymore, but isn't too pleased at how often he's been getting upstaged in recent games by creatures like Chaos, the Biolizard, and Metal Sonic.
Ganon
Likes: Being a villain
Dislikes: Always having to play the villain.
Ganon's a bit...odd. Although constantly trying to plan his next move to conquer Hyrule (presuming they'll let him try it), he's also reading and watching a lot of Hero Motivation stuff. He lets his hatred for all things nice boil up, but also takes time out for tea with Zelda, Peach, and occasionally Amy. Maybe that last Master Sword strike to the head rattled his brains…
Ridley
Likes: Metroids
Dislikes: Being so honkin' huge.
Ridley is yet another character who can't speak English. To compensate, he's trained one of his pet Metroids to speak and has it translate for him. Since he's so big, he can't fit through any of the doors in the villains' house except the sliding glass door in back, so he just sleeps in the backyard or main room, depending on the weather. He spends his free time training Metroids to be mail carriers, delivery men, and members of the local SWAT team, among other things. Only Samus still dislikes Ridley for the sole reason that he hangs around with Metroids.
Unit 6
Likes: N/A
Dislikes: N/A
A SWAT-Bot created by a Robotnik from another Universe and “adopted” by Ganon. He has the standard SWAT-Bot programming requiring mindless obedience to his creator’s commands and the immediate extermination of “Freedom Fighters” and anything that gets in his way. He’s determined to destroy Ganon, who thinks that all the attacks are just a game, one which Unit 6 never wins. He ignores all the other villains, who recognize the danger he poses and wisely stay out of the way.
Cool Guys (according to Bro and King)
Shadow the Hedgehog
Likes: Chaos Control
Dislikes: All the fuss about his past and what he really is.
Shadow's just...cool. He goes about life with a devil-may-care attitude and tries to reserve his Chaos powers until he really needs them. Shadow knows he's cooler than Sonic and occasionally takes time to make sure that fact is solidly rubbed in the Blue Blur's face.
Sheik
Likes: Ninja arts
Dislikes: Getting confused for Zelda
No, that's NOT Zelda in disguise. Sure, Zelda can kick butt on her own, but do you honestly think a Princess would feel comfortable cross-dressing and learning to be a ninja? In fact, Sheik and Zelda have been seen going out together, much to Link's chagrin
Meta Knight
Likes: The fact he has wings
Dislikes: Being unmasked
Meta Knight's a bit of mystery. He tends to keep to his room a lot and is rarely seen outside. Could it be he's just shy? Or is he plotting something behind that mask of his? We only know one thing: he's Kirby's cousin.
Space Pirate "Joe"
Likes: Space pirating.
Dislikes: Being called a lobster
I don't even know how a singular Space Pirate qualifies as a "Cool Guy." Do they even have personalities in the Metroid games? Nevertheless, Joe is a useful guy to have around, especially when you need something fixed that's about twenty feet up a vertical wall.
